White skirt

Had to be comfy today - my thighs are so sore from level two of the shred. Ouch.

Lots of cleaning today, and the halflings are all snotty. White was probably not the best plan ever..

Rainy Monday

Weigh in day was today - my weightwatchers group are getting used to my legs being out now, I think!

Rockabilly houndstooth dress. With a very flarey skirt that whips up in the wind. Lots.

Ask me how I know...

Slobby skirt Sunday

Jersey 2-in-1 skirt/dress today.

Soo comfy. After doing day 11 of the shred today, I needed comfy!

Had my family round for Sunday lunch, went for a jog, watched TV.. typical Sunday.

Pub day ^_^

Lots to do today - mad shopping for new wardrobe, coffee with mum & dad, then meeting friends for an evening at my local.

Swishy, beaded, baby pink skirt kept me bouncing about happily all day.

day 9

A day spent doing housework - no reason not to wear a pretty skirt though!

Love this one, it's dead comfy. Gorgeous colour and so light and girly. Almost falling down now though, will have to find it a good home!!

Study Hall

Driving Theory test today - I studied all day, wearing a floaty skirt and a Forks High tee ^_^

It worked, I passed!

Puffball skirt

Home Ed meet up today - went to a park, mooched and chatted and ran around in the mud. Then went to eat gluten free fish n chips, yay!

Choose to wear darker colours today, mud friendly colours. Needed a skirt that wasn't swishy and long, but not tight or too short - then saw the puffball crocodile skirt. I *love* this thing, it's so comfy, like a fabulous pair of joggers to wear.

Had a few comments on looking 'well' and 'happy' - it's been a few weeks/lbs/skirty days since I last saw them, and the changes are happening, obviously!

teeny skirt

I love how girly and non-pink this skirt is. I don't love how short and transparent it is.

Day spent at home - too much housework to leave without mega guilt, plus shopping deliveries/bin day and stoopid amounts of rain meant going out was not on the cards. So I thought I'd wear the skirt and no-one would see... except my neighbours as I ran about sorting recycling that'd blown all over, the bin man who laughed at my attempts (then helped) and the delivery driver, and our postie..

Still, made me feel happier on a dreary day than slobbing in joggers would have.

Red and Yellow and Pink and Green...

Rainbow day!

I love this skirt. It can be a dress, it can be a long skirt, it can be chopped into playscarves once the ribbed bits die...

Grey, overcast, windy day, needed perking up - so we headed out to have ice creams at the nature reserve, then went shopping.

Only downside was flouncy skirt + wind, glad I'd put black leggings under!!

Back into a skirt for day 4

Tipped it down minutes after this pic! Love, love, love how odd this skirt is. Bought it from a boutique in Portugal, but hardly ever wear it because it's so hard to move in... so legging it home a mile up a hill when the rain hit was fun. Not.

Imagine this will get more wear when I've lost more weight, so my hips aren't wedged in!

dresses for day 3

Skirtember 3rd saw me in 2 dresses. Spent the morning in a comfy TU shift dress, doing housework and shopping ready for birthday meal at ours later on. After a hair bleach and change I was all yellow, mellow and ready to be hostess-y for the night. ^_^

1) Dress & Leggings TU, cardi & sandals market buys.
2) Dress from a boutique, shawl DP's, top & leggings TU

#2 Jeans skirt

Day two, and I'm pulling out stuff I don't love much for these early on days. I want to have an incentive to keep wearing skirts as I get trouser-withdrawals later on, and I'm stuck indoors anyway with poorly kids, may as well get the not-so-fun stuff worn out of sight, lol!

Todays skirt feels like a pair of jeans, comfort wise scores 9/10. It looks awful! Knee length, making my short legs look shorter!

Needed comfy today, as I did day 2 of the shred, and had serious ouchness, plus the kids are on tail end of some virus and just whiney and nursing LOADS.

Was warm enough to not need tights, and skirt worked for digging out our first ever homegrown spuds too, so not all bad! Did change into joggers for my evening run though :)

1st skirt, for the last time

Skirtember the First - starting off with this impulse-bought Primark skirt from early on this year. Went to Oxford Street with my sister in January/February and bought it. Could barely do it up and felt bloated and sick wearing it.

Now it's too big and the waistband section keeps falling down. Wahey ^_^

Started the 30 day shred program this morning too. Showering and changing into something so exercise unfriendly felt very relaxing after!!

Going to wash this and chuck it in an ebay pile with some other barely worn togs. Hope to have a fair amount to chuck on sale at the end of the month.

Skirtember 2011

It's been 6 months since I've posted here - though I have worn dresses, it's not been every week. And none at all for the months March-July.

Now there's Skirtember 2011 to get me back!

Following on from the success of Dressember we are giving Skirtember a go. Very simple to join in the fun. Starting on September 1st put a skirt on (and other clothes if you like) take a photo and upload it on to this group page. Repeat as often as you can. Don't panic if you don't have 30 skirts, a dress will count too as will re-using a skirt but changing everything else to create a new look :) and PLEASE remember it's all just good fun so ENJOY it!!

Oh help! Oh no! It's a...

Surrey Libraries' Childrens Book Festival Gruffalo Party.

After the Elmer party in Redhill last week, I knew today would go down well with the brood. An hour of storybooks and activities centred around the Gruffalo.

Was held in Reigate library, so afterwards we wandered to visit the in-laws. Was a crisp sunny spring (finally!) day. The husbeast had a meeting in Richmond in the morning, but met us on the train from Clapham. So a fun sunny family day. Whoop. Perfect for a fun sunny frock.

week 8 - band night

Went to Waterloo to check out a cover band that my sister and her manshape have in mind for their wedding (in 13 weeks time, squeee). Very nearly wore a very colourful shift dress, but changed mind at last minute and grabbed a cotton long tunic dress thing. Chucked on a wrap top, leggings and boots and looked in the mirror...

Obviously I owe you a better photo, blog. I will have to re-create the day at some point, minus the rum-busted knee and mushed up make up. (The band was good).

week 7 - KAOS

Took the boys to a kids disco at the local soft play - 'KAOS @ The Arc'. They loved the loud music and lights on the soft play, and bigger boy joined in with a lot of the dance competition/games.

And I frocked. Very girly dress for me - but boy assures me it matches one pair of my new frames (which he picked, think he's trying to pink-floral me up.. he may end up shopping for a new mummy at Laura Ashley)

Felt not at all in the mood for a dress today, but this worked, with the top being all t-shirty, I nearly forgot that I looked like a curtain.

I am very not sure - the more I look at it, the more I am worrying that it must be a nightdress? Must be less pink next week.

week 6 - rollergirls

Taking my bigger boy to his first Rollerderby bout tomorrow in London, so had to get my skates on to play today ^_^

Annoyed with myself as I've been not looking after my diet/fitness at all, and it really shows.

Got to get serious with the flab melting. In just a few frocks time there should be results!!

I may need to re-buy this dress in a smaller size for summer though, it makes me feel happy swishing about in it.
